Fire damper control of baking machine

The need to adjust the firepower and the damper of the roaster not only occurs during the baking process but how to maintain consistency between the initial preheating stage of the roaster and the roasting of beans in each oven, these need to be adjusted by the firepower and the damper.

In the daily roasting of Shuliy Coffee, I use a semi-direct fire roaster. In the preheating stage of the roaster, I will adjust the damper gear to the middle, and the firepower is adjusted to 75% of the medium and large firepower so that the temperature of the roaster can quickly reach the temperature of the first pot of beans. When the roaster is After the temperature reaches the bean temperature, I will let the temperature continue to rise. When the temperature is about 10 degrees higher than the mean temperature, I will control the firepower to maintain this temperature for about 10 minutes. Then the damper fire is turned off completely, let the temperature drop to the bean temperature, and then Turn the damper back to the middle, control the firepower to keep the temperature at about 5 minutes, and then place the first pot of beans.

      The reason for this is that the degree of the temperature probe of the baking machine cannot reflect the temperature of the entire furnace, so if the initial temperature is only preheated to the preset temperature of the beans and then maintained for a period of time, then the boiler The stored energy is likely to be lower than you can think of. Generally, beans with low fault tolerance rates will not be baked at the beginning, but some beans with medium to deep roasting degree and high fault tolerance rate will be baked first. Generally, after 2 pots of beans, the state of the roasting machine is stable and normal beans will be baked.


 After roasting coffee in each oven, especially after deep roasting in one oven or beans with high temperatures, it is best to close the damper and firepower first to reduce the energy of the roaster. At this time, you may find that the temperature of the baking machine not only does not start to drop because the firepower is completely turned off, but also the temperature rises by a few degrees. When the temperature drops about 5 degrees, you can adjust the damper to the middle, and the firepower The temperature of the roaster is heated to the temperature of the beans and then kept for about 1 minute, and the beans are dropped. It is not necessary to heat the roaster to a temperature higher than the temperature of the beans, because the roaster after baking the beans has sufficient heat and uniform distribution.
